How to Install a Portable Seawater Desalination Machine?

Installing a WTEYA portable seawater desalination machine is straightforward: connect four pipe fittings (feed water, product water, brine and spare — all G3/8" female thread) and two power lines (220V and 24V), and the unit is ready to use. No professional installation is required.

Installation Steps

1. Placement. Set the machine on a stable, level surface. Prepare one seawater container (feed) and one fresh water container (product). Keep enough space around the unit for ventilation.

2. Pipe connections. All four ports use standard G3/8" female threads:

· Feed water port → outlet of the raw water pump (4-point hose)

· Product water port → fresh water storage tank

· Brine port → open area or overboard discharge

· Spare port → seal with the supplied plug

3. Power connections. Connect the 220V power line, the 24V power line and the raw water pump supply line (three cables in total). Both power lines must be connected before starting — running on a single line can damage the motor. Always use a GFCI-protected socket.

4. First start-up. Perform a manual flush for 30 minutes before normal operation to remove preservatives and air from the system.

Notes Before First Use

· After unpacking, add gear oil to the plunger pump first — CKD220 or GL-5 SAE85W-90, about 130 ml.

· Never connect the machine to a three-phase power supply.

· PE, PPH or 316L piping is recommended for long-term corrosion resistance.

· Check all fittings for leakage after the first 30-minute flush, then the machine is ready for daily operation.
