Three 4040 Seawater Desalination Units Shipped to Mexico

WTEYA has completed the export of three 4040 desalination units to Mexico. The equipment left our factory after full assembly, functional testing and pre-shipment inspection, and is now on its way to a coastal water project supported by our partner in the region.

The three units were built as one batch so that the customer receives a uniform configuration, identical spare parts and a single consolidated set of technical documentation.

Project Background: Compact Desalination for Coastal Demand

The order was placed through our partner Rotoplas, the leading water solutions company in Latin America, whose business covers water storage, purification, treatment and recycling. Their teams work every day with end users who need a dependable supply of fresh water, and that is why this compact desalination system was selected for the project.

Units in this class fit sites where space is limited but continuous output still matters, such as coastal facilities, resorts, small communities and plants that cannot rely on municipal supply.

Equipment Specifications of the 4040 Units

Each of the three 4040 desalination units was configured as a skid-mounted train, so the complete package can be placed and connected as one item on site, with no separate assembly of major components.

The configuration includes a pre-treatment stage, a high-pressure pump, 4040 membrane elements with their housings, instrumentation and a control panel. Wetted parts and frames are finished for coastal service, where humidity and salt-laden air are constant operating conditions.

Membrane elements, cartridge filters and small fittings were packed separately, so the customer can store consumables for later replacement without touching the installed machines.

Export Packaging and Loading Details

All three units were wrapped and fixed inside seaworthy packaging, with the membrane elements protected against movement and moisture during the sea voyage. Accessories were labelled by unit number and matched the packing list issued with the order.

Loading was carried out under our own supervision. Each skid was braced inside the container, weight distribution was checked, and photographs were taken at every stage so the receiving team could confirm the condition of the goods before departure.

The packing list, commercial invoice and technical documents were issued together with the equipment, keeping customs clearance and site handover straightforward for the importing side.

Quality Inspection Before Shipment

Before dispatch, every unit passed a functional run together with a pressure and leak check of the complete circuit. Electrical connections, pump operation and control panel functions were verified one by one, and each machine received its own test record.

Our engineers also recorded photographs and video of the tested units and shared them with the partner before the container was sealed, so the final condition of the equipment was agreed in advance.

The same inspection routine covers the seawater treatment side of the package, where correct pre-treatment protects membrane life once the units are running on site.

Delivery Process and On-Site Support

After shipment the delivery follows a clear sequence: documents are transferred first, the partner manages import and inland transport, and installation is completed by local technicians who know the site conditions.

We provide installation and commissioning instructions, operation and maintenance manuals, a spare parts list and direct access to our engineering team for questions that arise during start-up.
